Historic Raleigh Practice Joins Guardian Dentistry

Practice establishes momentum in the Greater Raleigh Metro for GDP 

MIAMI – August 25, 2022 –   Guardian Dentistry Partners (GDP) today announced a partnership with Raleigh, NC-based practice, Adams & Cheek Dentistry. Adams & Cheek establishes a new foothold in Raleigh to partner with additional like-minded dental entrepreneurs and their teams. Through a thoughtfully balanced combination of support and autonomy, led by doctor partners and supported by boots-on-the-ground regional support teams, Guardian’s partnership model has attracted successful entrepreneurial dentists that are disenfranchised with the “corporate model.”

Dr. Craig Adams, who started practicing dentistry in Raleigh 35 years ago, received his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from the University of Kentucky College of Dentistry and was named the “Top Clinician” in his 1987 graduating class. Long-time Raleigh resident, Dr. William Cheek, who himself, and two generations before him, were patients of Dr. Adams, pursued a career in dentistry at UNC where he was awarded the Hillenbrand-Lupton Award for excellence in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. He joined Dr. Adams as a partner in 2006 and they have expanded their practice fourfold since then.

“We chose Guardian because of the culture of the people,” said Dr. Adams when asked about the partnership with GDP. “We met and talked to a lot of people in different areas of the organization, dentists and support network. With Guardian, we did not feel the pressure that you often receive from other DSOs.”

Dr. Adams added that the team at Guardian is “motivated by positivity while allowing us to be ourselves and continue to be the captain of our ship locally. That’s a really big thing.”

Besides practicing dentistry and leading their office, Dr. Adams and Dr. Cheek will serve as leaders throughout the Raleigh metro, supporting Guardian’s mission of helping its dental entrepreneurs and teams build the practices of their dreams.
