Guardian Dentistry Partners Grows Virginia Network

Three longtime Northern VA practices join GDP family

MIAMI – October 4, 2021 – Guardian Dentistry Partners (GDP) today announced the addition of three well-respected Virginia dental practices to its expanding East Coast network. The new Northern Virginia partners are Dr. James Geren and Dr. Zeyad Mady, who lead both the Mt. Vernon Center for Dentistry and the Center for Dental Anesthesia; and Dr. Neil Charaipotra of West Springfield Dental Arts.

Dr. Geren, who has been practicing dentistry for nearly 40 years in Virginia and is one of Alexandria’s leading experts in cosmetic dentistry, is excited about what the partnership with Guardian brings him and his team of dental professionals. “Our new affiliation with Guardian ensures that the legacy we have created over these many years will carry on,” said Dr. Geren. “I believe this partnership with Guardian allows us to preserve all the good of our past and protect where the practice heads in the future.”

Dr. Mady, a dentist in Northern Virginia for the past 21 years who is a respected leader throughout the profession for his expertise in sedation and personalized care, agreed. “Guardian was an excellent choice for us. Their culture of how dentists and patients are treated was very appealing, and the opportunities for growth of the practice is exactly what I was looking for.”

As for Dr. Charaipotra at West Springfield, he pointed to the “family-like” feel that GDP brings him and his nearly 30-member team. “The Guardian leaders immediately gained my trust and confidence,” noted Dr. Charaipotra. “West Springfield is the only dental practice I’ve been with for 22 years. Our staff is like family to me, and I know that with Guardian our closeness as a team will only get stronger.”

The family-like culture at West Springfield is directly attributable to Dr. Mark Winkler. Dr. Winkler grew up locally in West Springfield and graduated from West Springfield High School. He worked in the West Springfield office with his father and brother, also dentists, beginning in 1990. His father retired in 1992 and Dr. Winkler took over the practice from that point on. Today, Dr. Winkler is preparing for his own retirement and Dr. Charaipotra is the lead partner in the practice.

Mark Censoprano, Guardian President, welcomed all the dentists and their teams into the Guardian network. “We continue to grow our family of partners in Virginia and much of the East Coast,” Censoprano said, “And we are thrilled to partner with these outstanding practices.”

Chief Clinical Officer Dr. Hisham Barakat, who is personally leading Guardian’s expansion in the Virginia market, added, “These three, well-respected practices are another example of the caliber and quality of the partners that are fueling our strategic growth throughout the Eastern United States.”
