Guardian Dentistry Adds Four Key Leaders

Newest team members bring significant industry experience

MIAMI – August 1, 2022 – Guardian Dentistry Partners (GDP) today announced the appointment of four leaders – three to its Finance ranks – in the latest additions to the company’s leadership roles. Joining the Guardian team are:

    • Jason Dignan, Vice President Corporate Finance
    • Amy Duzyk, Controller
    • Cristina Menendez, Finance Operations Manager
    • Tiffani Schick, Director Hygiene Development

Leading the significant expansion in the Finance Department is Jason Dignan, who joined GDP on July 5 and is responsible for accounting, financial planning and analysis (FP&A), tax and audit compliance, budgets and investor relations. He has 20 years’ experience in finance positions, most recently as Vice President Financial Planning and Analysis with Sequoia Financial Group where he also served as that company’s Controller.

Prior to Sequoia, Dignan was FP&A Director for North American Dental Group and oversaw many key areas, including  the company’s budget, mergers and acquisitions, financial reporting and analysis. He holds both bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Accounting from The Ohio State University and is a certified public accountant.

“Over the past couple of years, I have followed Guardian’s trajectory and it was clear to me that they are building a best-in-class partnership within the dental industry,” said Dignan. “And so when the chance to grow my career with the Guardian team presented itself, I jumped on it. I look forward to helping create opportunities that will help facilitate even more success.”

Amy Duzyk also began in her new role July 5 and is working closely with Dignan in the Finance Department. Coming into her position as Controller, Duzyk brings some 17 years of accounting experience, most recently as Assistant Controller for Texas-based Specialty Partners.

Prior to that role, Duzyk was Accounting Director at North American Dental Group where she oversaw the implementation of a new financial system as well as a new practice management system for the company. Duzyk holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Youngstown State University.

“Guardian is such a different company,” noted Duzyk. “They are building partnerships and families with their doctors that are unique to the industry. I’m so excited to partner with these doctors to help them achieve their dreams.”

The third recent hire in the Finance area is Cristina Menendez, who joined the Guardian team on July 12 and is working closely with Vice President of Finance Operations Robert Papenbrock to assist in integrating new practices. Menendez was most recently Controller for CareMax and served as  Controller for Miami-based Managed Healthcare Partners, LLC, for several years.  She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Accounting and a Master of Business Administration in Management, both from the University of Miami.

With several years of experience in healthcare, Menendez brings valuable skills to Guardian and is looking forward to working more closely on the operations side of the business with the individual practices.

“I love being part of a team-oriented environment, which I believe is such a critical part of the culture here,” said Menendez. “It’s such a family-like environment.”

As GDP’s new Director Hygiene Development, Tiffani Schick is bringing more than 18 years’ experience in the dental industry with seven years of multi-unit clinical management experience, including managing hygiene operations of 24 clinics. Schick worked for both Elite Dental Partners and Compass Health Network and bases her approach to hygiene on in-depth coaching, mentoring and leading employees, students and teams in becoming more successful hygienists.

“The culture Guardian Dentistry Partners has created is exceptionally unique in dentistry,” said Schick. “Every provider operates with their own style and has their own interests. I am looking forward to partnering with teams and providers to elevate them in areas that interest them and to provide the best patient care experience possible while creating the practice of their dreams.” Schick, who holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Dental Hygiene, began in her new position July 5.

Mark Censoprano, Guardian President, is thrilled about the latest additions to Guardian’s burgeoning ranks. “Each of these individuals brings unique talents to their new roles,” said Censoprano. “I have no doubt their contributions will be significant to our continued successes.”
